Till next we meet...

Well all, this is probably the last day of me in the guild. It saddens me to do this, but unfortunately with almost a month and a half of no real raiding I've grown tiered and am moving on. I do hate leaving, but when it seems to me that no one is doing anything to promote the guild and continue 25man raiding like we were, but for one such as I who is interested in seeing more end game content, I can only wait so long. I feel I gave what I could and was patient up to this point, and I even saw a post from one of the officers a week or more ago saying we would start up again as soon as people weren't as busy. Understandable, but considering I kept seeing people leave and never saw anyone coming in to fill those spots if and when we did start back up, it made me start thinking how much longer it was going to be. I planned on sticking out a little longer cause no one seemed to need a hunter, but someone I knew from a previous guild put in a good word and I was accepted the other day. I didn't join the guild right then because I didn't want to /gquit on the spot and I felt I needed to post this to let people know what was going on.

I'm moving on to a guild that's a little further than we made it in SSC/TK, so I consider it just a lateral transfer to a more active raiding guild. I want to wish everyone well and can only hope that things get back to normal with Rampage and you can all start working on progression once again.

I don't want to wear out my welcome and I hope everyone understands why I'm doing this so I won't drag this on and will stop here. Foot, thanks for the shot in Rampage and the fun times along the way. To everyone I've ran with during raids and regular instances thanks for the fun as well (especially Washu and Peach, things were a bit more fun with you guys around), I will miss everyone. To those who helped Raven and Illy along the way with quest groups thanks as well and to those I didn't get a chance to run with I'm sorry I didn't get to know you better.

Any way, that's it for my farewell speech. I don't want to say goodbye in hopes people will stop and say "hi" when we see one another in Shatt or any other place. Instead I'll say good luck to you all in the future, and I hope some of you will keep in touch, if not I'll at least have the memories.

This Weekend

Not sure if Washu has let folks know or not, but he Var and I, along with the rest of our group, will be getting together this weekend, as only a bunch of geeks would, to celebrate the life, and perhaps mourn the death a bit of Gary Gygax, one of the creators of Dungeons and Dragons. To do so, we will be rolling oddly shaped dice, consuming mass quantities of junk food, and getting very little sleep, but will be at a friends house, and away from computers for the most part. Due to this fact, we will not be around Friday and Saturday this week, but should be back the next as normal.

Looking forward to slaying Giants, Robots, Demons and giant annoyed Water Elementals with you all next week

Washu's Plan For World (oW) Conquest...

We've had some rough days of late, new people, new strats... a lot of fumbling and stress for most of us, especially Fancie and Foot who end up wearing every hat from Tank to Healer to raid leader and beyond. Even Kara, where we are more or less "TeH LAWR!" has been inexplicably annoying of late.

Along comes Blizzard with patch 2.4 and... badge gear that literally screams "BUY ME or DIE!"

Some of this gear is nearly BT equivilant (yes, it needs to be opened but with our server pop, that's hardly an issue.) Almost all of it outclasses both Kara, ZA and some of the early 25 man gear we're working on now.

My proposal, we take our ZA "Alpha" team and just run through Kara; full, 2-3 hour runs, blasting it out and early the 21-23 badges that run earns. If we have an hour or so to kill, we can go to ZA and work on a boss we've been having issues with.

Ultimately, the badge gear is generally better then ZA gear and lets our hardest hitting players get some nice toys that then allow us to let the other guildees pick up some of the toys we'll no longer need from the early 25 mans. Also, there's something about putting a dungeon to bed, completely and easily, that makes everyone smile. Finally, by doing it on our ZA night, we already know whose going to be there, we know it's a team that works, we don't have to excuse our spots...

And we're not putting an extra night of hassal on Fanci and Foot. More relax time for the raid leaders, means less stress and more happy, happy, joy joy. Etc

This is of course, just a suggestion, any thoughts?

My laptop is still in the shop (going on 7 days now) so I have had no access to wow out of town. I will be back as soon as I get my laptop back and everything wow reloaded.
